If you’ve noticed a new name popping up around Centrefold Lounge lately — CFU, Centrefold University — you’re not alone.
The varsity logos, cheerleader outfits, football jerseys, “Class of 2027” graphics and campus-style teasers are all part of a brand-new campaign we’re launching at Centrefold Lounge.
No, we haven’t opened an actual university.
But we are creating a whole new world inside Centrefold.
And yes, class is officially in session.
So, What Is Centrefold University?
Centrefold University, or CFU, is our playful new campaign inspired by American college culture, varsity sport, cheer squads, frat parties, homecoming, yearbooks and all the chaos that comes with campus life.
Think:
90s college party movies.
Varsity jackets.
Football jerseys.
Purple and gold.
Cheerleaders.
Homecoming queens.
Big Friday night energy.
And of course, the unmistakable Centrefold twist.
CFU is not a separate venue. It’s not a real school. It’s a themed campaign created by Centrefold Lounge to bring something fun, cheeky and completely different to Melbourne nightlife.
Why Are We Doing It?
Because Centrefold has always been more than just a night out.
We’re about live entertainment, big personalities, major events, showgirls, competitions, content, culture and giving guests a reason to come back for something new.
The CFU campaign gives us a fun new theme to roll out across:
social media,
event nights,
guest passes,
photo shoots,
exclusive content,
yearbook-style features,
and a massive September event.
It’s a full campaign, not just a poster.
The Big Event: CFU Frat Party
The centrepiece of the campaign is our CFU Frat Party, happening on:

The timing is no accident.
That same night, Melbourne will be buzzing with American football energy as the NFL comes to the MCG. With thousands of fans, tourists, interstate visitors and sports lovers in the city, we thought it was the perfect time to throw Melbourne’s wildest college-style afterparty.
Expect a big night of:
Australia’s top showgirls performing,
fun and flirty stage shows all night long,
American football and varsity party energy,
cheerleader-inspired visuals,
and the kind of late-night entertainment Centrefold is known for.
What’s With the “Class of 2027”?
As part of the campaign, we’re creating a CFU Class of 2027.
This is our yearbook-style way of showcasing the dancers and showgirls involved in the campaign. You’ll see headshots, group shots, varsity-style edits and playful “campus” content rolling out across our socials.
It’s all part of building the CFU world.
Some of the campaign content will also be used for an end-of-year Centrefold University Yearbook / Calendar release, shot in the style of a glamorous college yearbook.
Yes, it’s ridiculous.
That’s the point.
Why the Varsity Jackets, Jerseys and Cheer Outfits?
Every university needs a uniform.
For CFU, that means:
purple cheerleader costumes,
American football jerseys,
letterman jackets,
Centrefold University crewnecks,
CFU Athletics designs,
and Class of 2027 merch-style graphics.
The look is inspired by American college sport and classic varsity styling, but with a Centrefold Lounge edge.
It’s polished, cheeky, a little nostalgic and very on brand.
Is @centrefolduniversity a Real Account?
Yes — but it’s part of the campaign.
The @centrefolduniversity Instagram account is our CFU campaign hub. It’s where we’ll drop clues, teasers, photoshoot content, behind-the-scenes clips, event details and campaign updates.
